Description: Mullen-Hall students recently delved into the inspiring legacy of Emma M. Barrow, Falmouth's inaugural Black teacher and principal, who served from 1977 to 1985. During a visit from Ms. Barrow's daughter, 76-year-old Falmouth resident Willinda M. Powell-Gray, students were transported through history, gaining insights into her mother's journey from a one-room schoolhouse in Alabama to becoming a trailblazing educator in Falmouth.
